Course Description
Healthcare organizations operate in environments characterized by high complexity, ethical responsibility, technological advancement, and rapidly changing patient expectations. Leadership within these organizations requires more than traditional managerial competence. Healthcare leaders must balance clinical priorities, organizational efficiency, ethical obligations, regulatory requirements, and workforce engagement.
This course examines leadership theories, strategies, and practices within healthcare organizations. Students explore how leadership influences healthcare quality, patient safety, team collaboration, and organizational transformation. Emphasis is placed on real-world leadership challenges including crisis management, healthcare innovation, interprofessional teamwork, and ethical decision-making.
Through conceptual frameworks, case studies, and applied analysis, students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to lead healthcare institutions such as hospitals, clinics, public health agencies, and healthcare networks.
